Vodafone Germany has just announced the LTE version of the famous ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity tablet, that sports a Full HD display. Known as the TF700KL, the new model will be shown next week at IFA 2012 Berlin. The tablet will be priced at $1,026 without contract or $213 on contract. Pricey, right?
This LTE monster keeps the same specs as the original unit, with an optional keyboard dock, a 10.1 inch 1920 x 1200 pixel display, an 8 megapixel camera and more than enough storage. This is the second famous ASUS tablet to receive a LTE version lately, after the Transformer Pad TF300 got the same treatment and became the TF300TL. No idea when the TF700KL will hit the market, but I’m sure the Berlin IFA event will reveal more.
I am extremely curious to know how much the battery on the new Infinity Pad will be affected by LTE. It either loses an hour or two of its functioning time or simply it comes with a brand new battery, that’s probably bulkier and offers the same battery life. Is it worth to spend $1000 on this baby? What do you think? You could get 5 Nexus 7 units for the same price, you know?
