And here’s another batch of leaks related to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, the phablet that everyone is waiting for and that will be unveiled next week at IFA 2012 Berlin. Although initially we thought this model would launch with Android 4.0 ICS on board, it turns out that it will actually come with Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean on August 29th.
Korean publication Seoul Newspaper is behind this story, claiming that the Galaxy Note 2 will have the latest Android installed when it hits the stores later this year. The same source claims to have obtained the specs sheet for the upcoming handset, revealing the hardware features, that include a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution, a Exynos 4412 quad core CPU and an 8 megapixel rear camera. Listed as the GT-N7100, the device will come in 16GB and 32 GB versions and run Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
The specs sheet also mentions the presence of 3G and 4G LTE connectivity and a 16:9 aspect ratio for the display. The same source claims that the Galaxy Note 2 design won’t sport the same curves as its predecessor, that could protect the product from any potential lawsuits from Apple. So, once again keep your eyes peeled for the Unpacked event on the August 29th event, that will showcase the device.
